Setup Yoast SEO

Assuming that you have already installed the plugin and its link is showing up in the dashboard sidebar.

Clicking on that SEO link will take you to Yoast Dashboard

Click on the Configuration Wizard and walk through the settings step by step. Let’s start and set it up now.

In Environment Setting, you will specify the site if it is live or under construction.

In the next step, you will be asked about the site type. It’s pretty simple and you will choose it according to your site. I am choosing it as a blog.

In the next step choose either your site to represent a person or an organization.

Now select search engine visibility. In the first step “Search engines should show Posts in search result” choose Yes.

For “Search engines should show Pages in search result” choose Yes

Lastly for “Search engines should show My Templates in search results” choose Yes.

If you have multiple authors for your website choose Yes otherwise choose No.

Now You can choose the Title setting in the 6th step and you can select the title separator as per your requirements.

Yoast asks to track your website data to improve its experience. You can choose Yes if you want to share Yoast usage data with the Yoast team.
